Casa Lupe Number 2 Reviews

Casa Lupe Number 2 is shining again. Went for lunch today. My enchilada Verde had white meat chicken. The refried beans and Spanish rice were tasty. The portions were just right. The restaurant was crowded at lunch. Tells me it is well liked. Service was friendly.

We arrived around 7:30pm on a Sunday night. Parking was fairly crowded which speaks to the quality of the restaurant. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. The dining room was crowded but there was a small table available immediately. The menu came right out and the drinks followed in a very timely fashion. I'm a menu junkie and their menu selections were really top notch. I'm a sucker for a good mole' and wasted no time selecting it as my dinner. The Chicken Mole' enchiladas were fantastic! The tortillas used I could swear were home made. The mole' sauce itself was delicious. Not too spicy (even though I like the heat) and just the right amount of chocolate and sugar. The pico de gallo was also very good and the chips were fresh. We went through 3 small dishes of the pico and one of the salsa rojo. My friend had the tres colores (three colors) enchiladas. They also were very good. I also got the entree Tostada to go for my adult son at home. He liked the dinner but complained it was a bit small as an entree. Quality was VERY good. Serving sizes on the tostada were the only downfall. Perhaps making two smaller tostadas as an entree may be a better portion as a main dish? I will definitely go out of my way to eat here again. Looking forward to trying some of the seafood items. I recommend this spot.

Love their friendly service and the ambiance! Saw lots of families as well as couples and diners of all ages eating here. It wasn't too busy that it took a long time to get seated, and it was fairly lively for dinner time. Camarón/shrimp quesadilla: loved it! Sometimes, shrimp tastes like a fish tank to me, but I took the gamble and this was one of the best shrimp quesadillas I've ever had! It's straightforward and you get exactly what you expect. No surprises-- just a tortilla with cheese and shrimp like they said :) Chimichanga: okay, so after eating the chips and salsa (which were also great) and the quesadilla, we were too full to eat the chimichanga in its entirety.... But the portion I had was alright--a little too bean-ful for my taste (especially because we have beans on the side), but it wasn't awful. Not sure if I would order it again, but I'm also not typically a person who orders this dish. Women's bathroom: one of the stall doors won't close, so I walked in on someone, but we're all girls' girls, so she helped me keep the door closed so no one after me would walk in on me. Wishing the bathroom was just a little cleaner. Ample parking in the Safeway plaza. I think for a quick fix, I'd be happy to dine here, or if I were living locally to this spot, I'd come more often!

It is a family owned great restaurant. Food is amazing. Service is great. Stuff is very friendly. You can enjoy with your family or friends. A lot of parking available.

My favorite go-to spot in the plaza (I live nearby). A very friendly set of brothers handle front of house. Sometimes the dad (owner, I think) is around too. The food is consistent and always satisfying. The atmosphere feels authentic and upbeat.

This has become our go-to comfort food spot! The vibe inside is great, bustling with servers and music and people laughing and eating, and sometimes I just want to sit and be served hot food while sitting down and decompressing. Food is good! Very homestyle, comfort-food type flavors and a standard offering menu of enchiladas, fajitas, burritos, rellenos, etc. We put a hurtin on the chips, drink a ton of Diet Coke, the servers never let either go empty for long! After going to places with a bad attitudes and little or no service and still tipping, I am overjoyed to come here and actually receive the type of service that deserves over 20%. No cap.
